Your query is the configuration

Name a column recognisably and the panel builds the layer. lat/lng, time, trip id, geometry, H3, origin–destination pairs and velocity components are all detected, and every one is overridable per query.

Geometry straight from the database

GeoJSON, WKT, or raw WKB/EWKB hex — so a plain SELECT geom from PostGIS renders with no ST_AsGeoJSON around it.

Trajectories and flows, built for you

A query with a trip id and a time becomes an animated Trip layer. A flat origin–destination table becomes an animated flow map. Neither needs a layer configured by hand.

Satellite imagery, and its clock

A query that returns a link to a COG draws it, one that names a WMS draws that, and a .pmtiles archive draws with no server at all. One row per date turns the map's time widget into the scene selector — dragging it changes the picture without re-running the query or moving the frame.

Wired into the dashboard, both ways

The time picker drives the map's timeline and optionally the other way round. Map filters, clicks, the viewport and drawn areas all publish to dashboard variables, so the map filters every other panel.

Carto's three, Esri's satellite and topographic, and two of those with real elevation. Or point it at a style.json on your own network for an air-gapped install.

The full layer, filter, interaction and effects UI is live — this is kepler itself, not a reimplementation. We document the seams; kepler documents its own panel.

Dashboards built with it

Six of them, each one a Grafana dashboard and nothing else — no account, no Mapbox token, no hosted service rendering the map. Every picture here is the panel drawing rows a query returned.

All six are running live at grafana.ubica.ec, along with a dozen more, on a public Grafana that lets anyone in as a read-only viewer. Nothing to install and nothing to sign up for: open one, drag its timeline, draw on the map. Several are labelled in Spanish; the maps are the point.
